Woah, six months since the last post. Been busy, barely used my internet connection, felt like deleting myself from the face of the web again, the usual drama. But now that it’s gotten pretty quiet for the rest of the year, my mood has lifted and I wanna draw more again.
But I won’t use this blog anymore, I got myself a new one at blogspot: ROIGHT HEAR

I feel like posting things.
This is all in progress. Furthermore, I’m super tired and I forgot every single english word I ever knew, not to mention every bit of grammar, so these first ones I’ll just leave here without comment.

Why is this so disgustingly cute.
A friend asked if I could show some steps of an older picture I drew last year.
I’d rather forget this one, because I kind of ignored everything I was trying to pay more attention to : / But I remember having fun drawing it, so ’s okay.
There, somewhere in the background, that’s the sketch. In the middle are some tests, on the bottom left are tiny scribbles of a character I would post more of I knew where the edited versions are, the first ones I posted on DA were just a tad too damn ugly. I don’t know why Cobra Commander’s in there.
Then I cleaned that sketch up a bit, rather than doing outlines, which would’ve died in the coloring anyways.
Some basics underneath the sketch, at this point I should’ve determined a light source. *head/desk*
And then just the usual paint-over-everything-until-it’s-done. Still no light source, sometimes I want to slap myself.

Yesterday, I decided to bum around a bit and dig through files, so I can finally put together a fanart gallery for my homepage.
For various reasons, I will give it it’s own site.

I just realized that I haven’t finished one single drawing in 2009 so far. My non-existent attention span in combination with me only drawing at night prevents me from starting anything that would take more than an hour or two.

A friend borrowed my macbook, and my laptop doesn’t have photoshop, so I needed an alternative if I want to scribble when I can’t use my pc at home ( No, never heard of simple paper and a pencil before ).

A lot of people asked me what I thought of the Watchmen movie.
I don’t want to bitch around, so I’m not gonna say anything until I got the dvd and watched it about 15 times with original voices. I will learn to like it. Because at this point, I want to more than I actually do : <
But still: Simon & Garfunkel? Nena? Seriously?
I bought Fallout 3 about three months ago and didn’t even get around to install it yet 8(
There’s so much stuff to dooo like commission work and my participation in a sailing regatta and I’m kind of supposed to finish college this year. ANXIETY. I WILL FAIL.
But I also do try to keep drawing even it’s just scribbling random crap on my laptop at 5am instead of getting some freakin’ sleep. I’m spending about 100€ each month on coffee & cigarettes. No I’m not kidding.
On an unrelated note, the first Revenge of the Fallen trailer is out. I forgot who said this, but I shall quote anyways because it’s still so very fitting:
“I think what this movie wants to say is: Vroom Vroom, Kablam.”
Not that anyone’s complaining.

Old sketch I fixed somewhat and started to color…just basics atm:
Started coloring something from the last post, his name is Ixx:
Stuff on the left is some “10 minutes until my pizza is done, gotta draw sth” and on the right is some Out Of Order things, also tablet practice…I hate straight lines. It’s not a problem on paper but digitally it’s just GRAAHH. I can use ctrl for horizontal and vertical lines, but everything else is pain.
To calm my nerves:

Blargh. I’m completely stuck with a project that’s due next week, and I finally gave up and asked a friend for help. My ego is scratched. Since I have to wait until he gets here, I thought I’d use the time for an update.
I finally got something like a sketchbook and I was carrying it around with me for the past week. It’s all pretty random and useless. But it’s way more comfortable to scribble that way instead of occupying three seats at once in a train with laptop & tablet and bags and whatnot.
So, here’s week one. Bear with me, I’m determined to get better at this, I just have to get used to this peculiar thing called paper first.
Some other disadvantages are: I need glasses. My scanner sucks. I’m too lazy to edit this properly.
Marker tests. The very first time I have used those since 2005 or something. Fail’d. I do like the skin color on the right, but I can’t remember which colors I used 8( …some grey & some purple & ‘egg shell’ I think :

If you’re wondering how I suddenly developed an utterly charming cartoony drawing style…no, I didn’t draw these, Nat did!
I have created a lot of characters over the past years, mostly just for myself and fun and practice, but Sinc is one of them who is actually very dear to me.
So seeing her being drawn in this completely different and wonderful style makes me so happy.
